Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman is the Distinguished Professor of Psychology as well as Director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. She has been widely recognized for her pioneering work in studying witness testimony by children and the eyewitness memory within legal contexts. Professor Goodman is a prolific writer and has been awarded several grants and has been honored with many national and international prizes. She has been a consultant to numerous governments and agencies throughout the world on policies and research concerning children as victims within the legal system. She is currently a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center at Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She is a member of several professional associations, including the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. She served as president of the The American Psychological Association's Developmental Division and Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice.
